Well, I took a couple of years off of my life today by eating some chicken fried bacon….but O was it good!
Yesterday was an amazing kick off to this incredible Holy Week. It has been a joy to sit at the table with my children (and I have 5 children) and talk about the significance of this week. The table is such an important time and its significance goes back well before Christ. The table is where life happens. The table is where teaching happens. The table is where stability in the midst of chaos happens. What is your table like? rushed? in fron of the tv? in the car? Meals have to happen so why not claim them and use them for God’s glory. You may be in a season of singleness and you don’t have children and that is awesome…but you can still claim this time for grow deeper in meaningful relationships. If you are a parent, married or single, be intentional about meal time. Help your children connect the dots between stories that they have heard you tell them in the past. There is no better time than this week to help them bring the salvific history and nature of God into focus.
