This page is a work in progress. The fact is, there are not many pastors out there with as much content for single adults of all stages as me. God has uniquely pricked my heart for single adults and opened my eyes to the extreme value that they possess in God’s eyes and should possess in every single church. The fact is, Jesus was a single adults and he surrounded himself with single disciples (all but Peter). This is a significant truth.

Another piece to the puzzle of single’s ministry is dating. Many would argue that this isn’t a topic that they are interested in while they, at home behind closed doors, check their online dating account! I have defined dating from a Biblical aspect and am currently writing a book on the subject. I will post excerpts from time to time and see if there is anyone out there who would like to chime in and add their thoughts or opinions.

The final piece is for those who are leading, either paid or unpaid, a single’s ministry. Realize this, if you can crack the code for single adults in your church, you can open the flood-gates of service while at the same time creating a healthy, active, powerful group of single adults who genuinely love one another and truly become a vital integrated part of your church….(was that a run-on sentence?).

God called me into singles ministry in 2001 when I became the single’s pastor at Fielder Road Church in Arlington, Texas. This was an incredible time of transition and growth for the singles community. I was able to experience Divorce Care while launching Divorce Care for Kidz and a Single Parent Family Ministry. These triage ministries were just a few that were going on at the same time as I launched the post-college ministry which was the fastest growing in the church.

From Fielder Road, God called me to Saddleback Church with Rick Warren. There the size and scope changed as I found myself walking in to a ministry of over 9,000 single adults who attended the church and left in September 2009 with over 13,000 singles attending. The experience was one that I will remember for a lifetime and the ministry, the relationships, the love for Saddleback and all of the singles continues on to this day. God has truly blessed my life through single adults!
